Kaychikitsa department is the backbone of Ayurveda medicine. Kayachikitsa deals with the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of disorders like, geriatric medicine (Rasayana), Aphrodisiac medicine (Vajikarana), metabolic disorders ( Kaya Agni Chikitsa) lifestyle disorders, Endocrine disorders, Psychiatric disorders,skin disorders, Musculoskeletal disorders, prevention of Hereditary diseases,diabetes, hypertension, thyroid issues, obesity, neurological disorders,Gastro-Intestinal Disorders, Liver Diseases, kidney diseases,Respiratory Diseases ,autoimmune diseases and many others are diagonised and treated with Ayurveda medicines.Kaya Chikitsa department is well equipped and has good OPD and IPD facilities which is run by qualified professionals. 🩺 On the occasion of 11th National Ayurveda Day 2026, the Department of Kayachikitsa conducted a Diabetes Screening and Counselling Camp on 21st September 2026, with blood sugar screening, dietary guidance, exercise and lifestyle advice, Ayurvedic guidance, and diabetes awareness.

🌿🧠 11th Ayurveda Day & World Mental Health Day
As part of 11th Ayurveda Day and the pre-preparation for World Mental Health Day, the Department of Kayachikitsa organised a field visit to the De-Addiction Centre, Koppal, for Final-Year UG Students (Prajnana) on 22nd September 2026.
The visit provided students with an insight into the functioning of a De-Addiction Centre and addiction management.

Free Health Check-Up Camp | 11th Ayurveda Day 2026 🌿
As part of 11th Ayurveda Day 2026, the Departments of Kayachikitsa & Shalakya Tantra, SJGAMC, Koppal, conducted a Free Health Check-Up Camp at Bank of India, Koppal, for employees and customers.
👩⚕️👨⚕️ Nearly 46 beneficiaries received health screening and consultation, promoting awareness about preventive healthcare and the holistic benefits of Ayurveda.

Successfully Completed 4-Day BCLS Programme!
A 4-day Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Programme was successfully conducted for UG Final-Year Students, Interns, Hospital Staff and Panchakarma Therapists, organized by the Departments of Kayachikitsa, Shalya Tantra Final Year Coordinator and Internship Coordinator.
